Locking and Unlocking

Secure locking
Place the cross into the base matching the recess. Press the cross in and rotate 45° right. The X-Shut will automatically lock.
Easy unlocking
To unlock the X-Shut pull the latch bolt straight out and hold. The cross can now be rotated 45° left and removed from the base.

You have got the choice between an X-Shut „ Kreuz 1Rast“ or „ Kreuz 4Rast“. The „ Kreuz 4Rast“ can additionally be locked in the Basis in every 90 degrees.
The two O-rings (recessed into the "Kreuz ") provide for a certain tension between the two fastening parts and have an anti-vibrating effect. This supports an easy attachment and use of optical devices like video and still cameras. X-Shut load capacity
3D loadable, anti-vibrating
The X-Shut is extremely flat and very durable. In order to determine this capacity, X-Shut fastening units of aluminium and stainless steel were loaded up to their breaking limit in a laboratory for material testing.
Please note: the below mentioned values are no guideline or guaranty of the maximum capacity of the X-Shut fasteners. They are only provided to classify the different fields of application!
